woot woot! yeah!

  • Nov. 24th, 2009 at 4:18 PM

Hey guys, long time no post. So I've been extremely busy with A: Being sick, B: Going to the doctors C: Taking pills D: Sleeping and, most importantly, E: THE WEBSITE! (and a crap load of make-up work but that's beside the point). So it's like almost done! As of right now the site is not accessible because I'm waiting on someone to help me (more like supply me) with a code and then everyone can be happy and flood the site! WOOOO!!! As of right now we're gathering up our official team and then we haven't decided if we're going to work to get some money to buy a new recording system or to just use the rather crapy-ish (not really crapy-ish but the older, not as high-tech high-quality) recording system. Then we have to figure out a date, record it, and then I'll be the one filling everything out to put it on iTunes! WOOOO!!! ALMOST THERE!! I'll post again soon when we have more to post! I bid you adieu! (spelling?)

I'd choose Abbey Road from the Beatles because I love the Beatles and I never get tired of their music (:

What is your all-time favorite, romantic movie scene? What about it speaks to you?

I think the most romantic movie scene would have to be when Jack is holding Rose on the Titanic and she's all like "I'm flyin!" :P Love that movie!

Writer's Block: Would you talk to the dead?

  • Oct. 31st, 2009 at 1:48 PM

Have you ever participated in a seance? If not, would you consider it? What spirit would you summon and what question would you ask them? Do you believe we can get messages from the dead?

View 674 Answers

I have not participated in a seance but I have used a Ouija board before if that counts. I'd love to do a seance, I think that'd be absolutely awesome and I would summon up....um...probably not a family member but someone important, maybe an idol? Though I can't think of any deceased idols I have....Oh, I know! I'd contact John Lennon and ask what the hell is Come Together about :P Love the Beatles (R.I.P) As far as messages go, I'm not too sure but my family is big on the mysterious penny theory when whenever someone finds a penny on the ground it's supposedly from a family member...I don't know, they're all Irish :\ :P

What are you going to be for Halloween this year? Are you going to wear coordinating costumes with a friend or partner? Did you buy something pre-fab or make it yourself?

Well, I decided not to go trick-or-treating this year and I was going to help out my uncle outside my Grandma's house. He sets up a big scene every year, just on halloween (I probably have to go help this afternoon) and normally it's just him, sometimes my stepdad or my other uncle help out outside to scare people and all that but this year my cousin is not going trick or treating with me and I can't find anyone who wants to go with me so I decided not to go trick or treating (I'll buy some candy at CVS, it's right down the street) and my other cousin was going to help him so I decided I'd help him out if he needed it. I was just going to dress up in all black, hooded, white face, and hide out around the trees that are on my Grandma's yard and when the kids come down that path I'll scare them. Not the little kids though, I'm not mean :D

But at the looks of things, I'm not too sure I can do that this year, I'm sick with a sinus infection and it's suppose to rain a little and if I get a cold it can turn into a severe upper respitory infection which can lead to swine and then nmemonia and then...well I'll probably die if I go through all that... No seriously. So I don't know if I'm doing ANYTHING this year ):

If you could give a secret gift of any value to one anonymous recipient, who would you choose and what would you give them?

If I could give a secret gift of any value....hm...this is a hard one because most of my friends or people I know are financially higher class than my family. Not massively higher but they go on like two vacations a year maybe? Or have big parties sometimes.... I have to say I'd probably give my dad like $1,000 or something along those lines because he really needs to pay some bills, my sister/his daughter is getting married but it's all the way down in jamaica so he might not be able to go because he might not be able to afford it. And whatever is left after that goes to saving up to go see our family down in Florida next summer. (my parents are split up if you haven't guessed..)

Do you think your moods are controlled by your brain chemistry or that your brain chemistry dictates your moods? Do you believe people are born with particular emotional temperaments or that they are primarily shaped by environmental factors?

I think personally that your brain chemistry gives you a certain outlook on events, people, life, etc. and that sets you up for how you feel most of the time. Some people have more bipolar feelings, like their feelings are always changing and they change at very slight things. That is obviously brain chemistry when it's hyper. It changes from mood to mood without warning and it can be for something really stupid and the reactions can be really big. But that's all controlled by your brain chemistry.

Which character from any film, television show, or book would you most like to take on a date and why?

I absolutely love this question and I know Rachel B. would too. I have to say, I'd like to take Adrian Ivashkov on a date from Vampire Academy. Although I love Dimitri Belikov much more than Adrian, I think Adrian would be a better candidate for a date. The only thing I dread is that most girls have probably answered Edward Cullen. I'm going to check now :P

Writer's Block: Forgive and forget?

  • Oct. 26th, 2009 at 3:13 PM

Do you tend to forgive and forget or hold grudges? What is the longest you've ever stayed angry with someone? Is there anything the other person could say or do to win back your friendship and trust?

View 1517 Answers

Honest to God, if I were to hold a grudge, what ever the person did would have to be pretty bad. The longest I've ever held a grudge? Four days. I know people who've held grudges for ten, twenty, days, as long as ten years. I honestly don't think there's much a person could say or do to win back my trust, really only if they honestly got pressured by someone to do something. But it basically depends on what happened in the first place and who or where I heard the situation from. Before you can go and make your oppinion, you have to judge your source and the information. But anyways, I think the best cure for a little knick in a relatioship is to just give the person some space; I know I'd certainly like that. I might even go hang out with some other people to just refresh my self a bit because depending on the situation, if I think about it really hard and what happened, I might get even MADDER so that wouldn't be good. :P But that's just me, not everyone is the same (:

Woo! First Post!

  • Oct. 25th, 2009 at 2:24 PM

Hey guys! this would be the first post ever, aside from the Writer's Block entry I just made. I just wanted to tell you guys what the "Bloodlust Show" is. It's a podcast call Bloodlust and it's going to be about vampires. Vampire book series', movies, and TV series. I'm going to be doing it with three other friends, Angelina, Nora, and Rachel B.[there's two Rachels, just so you know (;]. As of right now, the site is under major construction, I'm still working on all of the coding and graphics, and the four of us are working on catching ourselves up on all of the series' right now. I'm probably going to be the only one out of four that has read all of the major series: House of Night, Night World, Vampire Kisses, Twilight, Vampire academy, and Vampire Diaries. I'm pretty sure that's all of them. Yeah, I think so. (I'll also be the only one owning all of the books-- yes, I cleaned my book shelves off to make space for them all, yes, I'm a nerd). And our first show should be out sometime between mid-december to early-early January. If not, earlier. We'll be posting updates until then and I'll let you know when everything gets set up and provide links. Check back soon because I'll have another post waiting!

--Rachel M.

Books everyone's read so far:
--Rachel B: Vampire Academy (#1), Twilight series.
--Angela: Twilight series
--Nora: Vampire Diaries, Vampire Kisses 1, 2, 3, Twilight series, Night World series
--Rachel M: Vampire Kisses 1, 2, 3, Twilight series, Vampire academy 1, 2, 3, Night World series, House of Night series, working on Vampire Diaries

Writer's Block: Yes, offense taken

  • Oct. 25th, 2009 at 2:11 PM

If a friend or relative makes a racist or homophobic remark, do you tend to confront them or let it slide? Are you more likely to confront them if it offends you directly or someone else who seems reluctant to speak up?

View 1596 Answers

If a friend of mine or a relative were to say something racist, sextist, homophobic, perverted in a way that's not funny whether it offended me or another person or no one at all in particular, I'd most definately say something. Depending on who it was and my relationship with that person, I'd either confront them angry, offended, or in a casual way that said "hey, ya know, that's not cool. Don't do it again." I know some people that, if I pulled them aside and said that casually, like just warning them, they'd get defensive, some might get embarassed, and I have another friend that would probably cry. But I've had to do such a thing before and that person doesn't talk to me much anymore. But they shouldn't say something in that demeanor, it's not polite and it's not mature.
